- Senior government and business leaders discussed areas in which Canada's stregnths could be utlilized in the development of Indian Smart Cities.

 

- Expert panels from companies and organizations actively involved in the Indian market also participated in the event.

The Canada-India Business Council successfully hosted the “6th Annual Canada-India Business Forum” on November 17th, 2016 at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, India.

Keynote Speakers

 

H.E. Nadir Patel, the High Commissioner of Canada to India spoke about the tremendous opportunity that exists for Canadian companies in India and why Canada is an ideal partner for India's growth.

Hon. Michael Chan, Minister of International Trade spoke about India's enormous investment potential and the company's major initiatives in India. 

Hon. Jeff Leal, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs spoke about why India needs Canada's expertise and innovation in the area of agirculture and agri-tech.

Panel: Opportunities to Expand Agri Food Trade between Ontario and India

Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, panelists in the "Expanding Agri Food Trade" paenl discussed the capabilities of Canadian companies in the Ariculture and Agri-tech sectors.

Indian representatives on the panel discussed the areas and projects in which Canadian expertise can contribute significantly.

Panel: Women Influencing the Economic Engine of India

Panelists in "Women Influencing the Economic Engine of India"  discuss the growing role of women in leading India's economic resurgance and the contributions they have made thus far.

Panel: Partnering with Canadian Investors

Panelists of "Partnering with Canadian Investors" spoke about the strategies and tools available to Indian companies to aid in the procurring and matching of Indian companies to their Canadian counterparts.
