Since the early 1980s, the Canada-India Business Council (C-IBC) has been a leading member-driven, not-for-profit trade association linking Canada and India. The C-IBC has a multi-dimensional approach, working closely with global corporations based in Canada and India, as well as smaller and medium-sized businesses. We also work with private sector legal and business advisors, and various levels of government. Our memberships reflect a mix of these organizations.
Our members get practical business guidance and contacts with organizations in the private, public, and broader public. Our network of advisors provides a first-hand set of insights in the Canada-India business corridor.
The C-IBC takes an active role in key bilateral initiatives by providing briefings to private sector representatives and senior government officials. The C-IBC convenes roundtables on topical policy issues. We have events planned for Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver in 2017, as well as our annual summit in Mumbai in the Fall.
For over three-and-a-half decades, several eminent Canadian businesses rallied around the vision of the late Thomas Bata to create the Canada-India Business Council. We are committed to advancing opportunities in the Canada-India corridor in the years ahead. We invite you to join us in this endeavour.
