Gautam has been instrumental in introducing cutting edge technologies to India in the domain of Space, Aerospace, Maritime, Satellite Communications, Telecom, Mining, Defense and Homeland Security.

From introducing Jelly filled & Optic Fibre telecommunication technologies to India during the 1990’s to bringing the latest State of the Art Geo Augmented GPS aided navigation system (GAGAN) to India in 2015, Gautam has been involved with several key technology initiatives to India in the past three decades. Some of the noteworthy projects include the modernization of Air Traffic Management for Civil Aviation in India, development of indigenous ship design capabilities for Oceanographic, Fisheries and Polar Antarctic Research for the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Beach sand Mining projects for the Ministry of Atomic Energy, Satellite communication programs for scientific organizations such as DRDO, ISRO, Nuclear Power Corporation, Department of Atomic Energy etc.

Gautam has been associated with ISRO for India's prestigious Space based Augmentation Program with Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) from a concept phase to a fully operational system and also supporting ISRO in key elements of satellite manufacturing viz. Solar Panel Fabrication & Testing, CAD design & configuration, fabrication & testing of flight batteries for space crafts, Software testing & documentation, Simulator testing, process qualification of PCB manufacturing & assembly process for several satellite missions for ISRO.

Gautam has been involved in strategic technologies for the Ministry of Defense and has been instrumental in building partnerships with large Indian Corporates such as Tata Group and with Public Sector Undertakings such as Bharat Electronics, ECIL etc for implementing key strategic defence projects.

Gautam is currently working on several programs under PM Modi’s “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” programs to bring hi-tech technology capability to India for manufacturing in India’s Defense , Aerospace and Space sector. Grintex is also supporting MSME initiatives in India.

Gautam has more than 25 years of experience in handling international business and has been engaged with leading technology companies such as Airbus, Boeing, Raytheon, United Technologies, SAAB, Thales etc.for various strategic technology programs . He has successfully setup and managed Joint Ventures with large international corporations.

Gautam has lived in Europe, North America, Middle East and Asia during his various international assignments.

Gautam is on the Board of Directors of Canada India Business Council and on the Board of Governors of Canada India Foundation.

Gautam enjoys sports such as Sky diving, Para gliding, Scuba diving, Himalayan rafting etc.
